We are at the very beginning of the our journey to achieving the Mental Health Award from Leeds Beckett University.
The Mental Health and Well-being Champion in school is Mrs Sarah Aston. On 24th April 2018 Mrs Aston became a 'Mental Health First Aider', which is recognised as the Gold Standard by the MHFA England.
We also have 4 members of staff who have attended Mindfulness training. Strategies and ideas to use with children are being shared with staff. We also share ideas and strategies for personal well-being with our staff. We believe it is important to support staff health and well-being as well as the children's.
Shortly, we will be sharing and promoting parent/carer health and well-being through an information sharing board. We welcome your views!
We will update this page with exciting information on how we will continue to promote mental health and well-being in school for children, parents and staff.
