Mental Health and Well-being

Following lots of hard work we have been successful in gaining our SILVER AWARD in Mental Health in Schools from Leeds Beckett University.

The Mental Health and Well-being Champion in school is Mrs Sarah Aston. On 24th April 2018 Mrs Aston became a 'Mental Health First Aider', which is recognised as the Gold Standard by the MHFA England.

We also have 4 members of staff who have attended Mindfulness training. Strategies and ideas to use with children are being shared with staff. We also share ideas and strategies for personal well-being with our staff. We believe it is important to support staff health and well-being as well as the children's.

There is always a dedicated parent/carer health and well-being information sharing board on the school corridor which is updated regularly. If you ever require any copies of information on the board, JUST ASK!

We will update this page with exciting information on how we will continue to promote mental health and well-being in school for children, parents and staff.
